Hot on the heels of a report that the share of Americans who don’t believe in God has doubled in the past ten years we were wondering what has happened. One the the most obvious explanations is God simply doesn’t exist. There is not a shred of scientific evidence the the existence of a personal god. We can measure everything from quantum particles to gravitational waves and we have never picked up anything that would suggest a god or the supernatural actually existing. Of course a lot of the younger generation are leaving for other reasons like mental illness which makes building a supportive image of God in your head that much more difficult if not impossible.
